Studentwork is looking for an Operations Recruiter for our client company Wolt.
Wolt is a venture-backed technology company building the one app for discovering and getting great food in your city – be it for home delivery, takeaway or to the table.
Since launching in Helsinki in 2015, we have expanded to six countries across Europe (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Sweden), achieved more than 500,000 registered users, and partnered with more than 1,000 restaurants. We now plan on expanding further.
We’ve raised €15M in funding from some of the biggest names in European tech, including Kees Koolen, Partner at EQT Ventures and former CEO of Booking.com; Ilkka Paananen, CEO of Supercell; Niklas Zennström, Founder of Skype; and Risto Siilasmaa, Chairman of Nokia.
We've also been fortunate enough to receive some appreciation and recognition for our hard work along the way. Apple gave us their Editors' Choice, Wired named us one of the "Hottest Startups in Europe," Forbes included our CEO Miki Kuusi on its list of 30-under-30 in Consumer Tech, and the Nordic Startup Awards named us Company of the Year.
We plan on expanding further given the success we have found in our existing markets. We are going to be recruiting over 100 new employees both for our product and design team (now ~25 people) and our new operations teams (now ~60 people, some full-time and some part-time) during the next few years.

About the ops recruiter position
You will be recruiting the members of our current and new country operations teams that consist of a General Manager, Restaurant Partnerships Manager, Restaurant Operations Manager, Courier Operations Manager, Marketing Manager and Customer and Courier Partners Support people.
Focus in the role:
Creative: Creating new and innovative ways to attract the best developers and designers.
Sourcing: Able to source great people, albeit from open source communities through to networking and relationship building and take them through a comprehensive recruiting process, closing at the end.
Customer-obsessed: The candidate is at the heart of our recruiting experience. You will be obsessed with delivering an efficient and scalable recruiting process which scales.
Communication: A great communicator able to deep dive into specific topics related to hiring experts in their respective fields.
Get things done: We won’t tell you what to do – you show us how things should be done.
- 2–6 years experience in a recruiting role.
- Get excited from getting to travel around the world, be temporarily based wherever needed, finding the best people in all kinds of countries and locations where we expand.
- Able to understand and develop the whole recruiting process.
- Ability to think on your feet in a super fast-moving environment.
- Understanding of competitors, target companies.
- Great networking skills.
- Ability to own technology recruiting, being accountable for all hiring in this area.
- Passionate about hiring efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate technical assessments, innovating on how we evaluate prospective candidates.
- A strong relationship builder, able to inspire confidence and deliver key hires to senior engineering management.
- Fluent in English. Additional languages a plus but not essential.
- Must be eligible to work in the E.U.
The monthly pay is negotiable, and it depends on your experience and your ability to convince us about the results you’ll bring in from day one. In general, the recruiter role is a crucial role and the pay will be competitive and also available to be checked upon once you show us what you got.
As a Wolt full-time employee you’ll be awarded with a negotiable package of stock options, meaning you’ll own a part of the company and will get your share of our possible future success.
Process for filling the role
If we find you might be a good fit for the recruiter role, we’ll follow up with 3–4 rounds of interviews, and some assignments in between where you’ll be able to really show us what you can do! We wish to fill the position as fast as possible, hopefully during January 2018.
