CV & LinkedIn Clinic 10:00-17:00
In CV clinic, experts will help you update your CV or LinkedIn profile in a personal 10 min consultation. 
 

The clinic operates on a walk-in basis and the duration of the consultation is approximately 10 minutes. Please check below for consultants' availability and specialisation by sector.

Blue stands are for engineering & industrial fields, yellow for IT and green for business and administration. However, please note that many companies are looking for students and graduates in all of these fields and the colours are only indicative.

At the registration point of the event you can find stickers with different colours and attach them on your name badge to indicate what your are studying.

The company representatives can indicate with same colour coding, what study fields they are looking for.

Blue Blue = Tech /industrial / engineering
Orange = IT / ICT / engineering
Green = Business / administration
Red = Other study field

Tips for a successful job search on Contact Forum

What to do during the event

Network actively:

  • Start conversations with courage and introduce yourself in a friendly way
  • Ask questions about company culture, roles and career opportunities

Modify your approach

  • Adapt your presentation according to who you are talking to and highlight how you can add value to their organisation.
  • Be genuinely interested in the opportunities they offer.

Maintain a positive attitude:

  • Smile, be energetic and show your interest - first impressions make a big difference

Remember the schedules

  • If the company mentions a timetable for follow-up interviews or the recruitment process, make a note of it and follow the instructions.

 

Follow-up after the event

Send a thank you message:

  • If you received business cards or contact details at the event, send a short thank you message to the people you spoke to.
  • Mention in your message something you talked about in the encounter that stuck in your mind and confirm your interest in the task.

Actively apply

  • If vacancies were advertised at the event, apply for them as soon as possible after the event
  • Tailor your application and CV for each job.

Update your LinkedIn:

  • Update your LinkedIn profile and mention your participation in the event so your contacts can see your activity
